Dumbleyung Bluebird Commemorative Wine

You’re probably reading this while enjoying our 50 Year Anniversary Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc Semillon or Sparkling Brut. Well firstly, cheers to Donald Campbell and his remarkable record-breaking achievements in 1964!

If you’d like to read more about his life and triumphs, you can find the story by clicking here.

The fantastic illustration on ‘The Double’ Sparkling Brut was created by Mick Hill, a very talented technical illustrator based in the UK. We thank him for allowing us to use this image to commemorate 50 years of Donald Campbell’s world water and land speed records in 1964.

 The Wines

The three excellent wines we have on offer are produced by Churchview Estate in Metricup, Western Australia, and are available to order (see below).

Campbell Cabernet Sauvignon
The CABSAViconnose is powerful with dark fruits of blackcurrents, plums, stewed fruits and black cherries. There is some earthy spice and fresh violets which add a lift to this rich and complex aroma. The palate is full, rich and powerful, with dark fruits offering many layers of flavour followed by chocolate, liquorice and eucalyptus. These flavours continue to evolve in the mouth even after the wine has gone. Soft tannins compliment a long finish.

Enjoy with roast meats, lamb shanks or a great Aussie barbeque.
