Celebratory Print
Mick Hill, an illustrator from the the UK has done a wonderful print to celebrate Donald Campbell’s “Double”
He has kindly allowed the Dumbleyung Bluebird committee to make use of his print to promote and publicise this great event.
Over the next few months we will be using this print on various memorabilia items so keep an eye out for them.
The first use has been as part of the invitation to the event on 30th December 2014.
Hello,
My name is Chris Wills and I am the curator of the ‘Bluebird 50 Years of Speed’ Longines Exhibition that we have been working on for the last two years.
Don Wales made contact with me a few months ago about getting in contact with Mick Hill after I saw Micks image of his 50th Anniversary picture on Don Wales twitter account. After getting in contact with Mick he then kindly allowed us to use and display the 50th Anniversary CN7/K7 profile image to promote our exhibition. Anyway we have placed the image on our home page banner and will use signage of this image within the Royal Exhibition Building for Motorclassica.
Thought I should let you know about this as were the first to make contact with Mick Hill over his 50th Anniversary image and that of his K7 Cutaway image. It does not worry us that you are going to use the image as long as you know that we will also be doing the same thing.
Well we wish you all the very best with your planned celebrations as it is a very important part of your local history and that of Australia’s history as well.
Best wishes
Regards
Chris Wills

Hi Chris.
It is such a wonderful image and a great celebration of the Double. We saw the image you have used on the Motorclassica website the other day and realised that it was Mick Hill’s image, and that we were using the same one.
As long as Mick Hill and you don’t mind us using it we would like to continue doing so.
We have our own logo and are using the Mick Hill print as a supplement to that. Also it is a great souvenir print of the double for people to collect.
Let us know if it is a problem. As we see it,the whole story belongs to the world and the links are wonderful to have.
