Read More ›One Year, Two World Records
On December 31st 1964, after breaking the world land speed record in Lake Eyre, South Australia and with only hours to spare, Campbell broke the world water speed record on Lake Dumbleyung in his jet propelled hydroplane boat, Bluebird. This gave him him the two world records in the same year – a feat that has never been achieved before or since.

Bluebird Unveiling
Through a process of funding applications, community fundraising drives and shire funds, Council’s Bluebird Interpretive Centre Committee (BICC) was able to commission a full scale replica for the Dumbleyung community to unveil at the 50th anniversary on 31st December, 2014.
